If you prefer to take an alcoholic beverage every now and then, keep your money at home if you intend to do your drinking in a brick and mortar casino. I am serious. clean out your pocketbook, your wallet, and keep all cash, bank cards and chequebooks at home. Take just the money you intend to use on beverages, tips and whatever loose coins you plan on loosing and keep the remainder behind.
Cynical? Not really. Practical really. You might well discover a win after a drunken night out with your buddies and be lucky enough to hit a 25 minute roll at a hot craps table. Hang on to that story because it is as brief as it gets if you constantly drink and bet. The 2 simply don’t mix.
Leaving your cash at home is a little dramatic, however, preventative measures for dramatic behavior is proportionate and necessary. If you gamble to succeed, then don’t drink and play. If you can manage to throw away your money without a worry, then consume all the free alcohol your stomach can hold, but don’t take debit cards and chequebooks to toss into the combination of chasing losses after your drunk as a skunk brain squanders everything!
